Importing a hand into the Lab
Paste a hand history from any room and let GrindLab fill in cards, positions, stacks and actions.
Re-entering a hand by hand takes a minute. Pasting it takes five seconds. Across a ten-hand session review, that difference often decides whether the review happens at all.
How it works
Copy the hand history from your poker client, paste it into the Lab's import field. GrindLab automatically parses:
- your hole cards
- the board cards
- every player's position
- stack sizes
- all betting actions, street by street

Once the hand is loaded you are straight at step 3 of the analysis: all that is left is assigning the villain's range.
Supported rooms
The major rooms are recognized: PokerStars, GGPoker, Winamax, Unibet, PMU, Betclic, iPoker and others. Formats differ from room to room, and the parser is updated as those formats change.
If a hand from your room fails to parse, report it on Discord with the hand history: that is the fastest route to getting the format added.
Single hand or bulk import
This chapter covers importing one hand into the Lab by copy-paste. To import your full hand histories and browse them in a filterable library, see My Hands, which covers bulk import, along with the desktop tracker that watches your hand history folder and imports on its own.
Worth knowing
Importing your own hand histories is a Grinder feature. On the Free plan, the Hand of the Day remains fully importable and analyzable every day.
Import fills in the factual context of the hand: cards, positions, sizes. It does not guess the villain's range, and that is deliberate. That assumption is yours.
